The Miami Heat Should Trade Shaquille O’Neal
Injured Heat center Shaquille O’Neal left the team Monday and headed for another NBA city to be treated-not traded. That was the message Heat coach Pat Riley emphatically tried to deliver after Monday’s practice at Target Center, where the Heat plays the Timberwolves on Tuesday night. O’Neal, who has missed the past five games with a bruised left hip, left Minneapolis on Monday morning and flew to Los Angeles to see specialists for his ailing hips. O’Neal, 35, has missed the past five games since he aggravated his bruised left hip Dec. 26 at Philadelphia. He initially sustained the injury when he dived for a ball and slid into the scorer’s table in a Dec. 22 win against Utah. Click here for more from the Miami Herald.
