Indiana Pacers Preparing for Moves Before Deadline?
Larry Bird may want to rethink what he wants to do with his basketball team. The Indiana Pacers president said Tuesday afternoon they’re talking to teams but he isn’t sure they will tinker with the roster before the Feb..21 trade deadline. Bird made those comments before the Pacers suffered their sixth loss in seven games when they fell to the Utah Jazz 111-89.
The Pacers are a season-high four games under .500. ‘Will we do anything? I don’t know,’ Bird said. ‘Obviously teams are trying to strengthen what they have. We’re not looking to get rid of any core players right now, but you never know.’ Bird, in his first season with complete control of player personnel, said one of the biggest problems the Pacers have endured is inconsistency. The Pacers already have had two losing streaks of at least fives games and they’ve lost seven games after
leading by at least 10 points. Click here for more from the Indianapolis Star.
