Miami Heat and Seattle Sonics Talk Trade

As he prepares to play his third game in four nights, Heat guard Dwyane Wade said his sporadic play in recent games is a result of his mind being on one level and his beat-up body on another.Wade enters Monday’s game against the Cavaliers looking  to bounce back after he missed 16 of 23 shots in Saturday’s loss to the Knicks. Wade called it an off night, but it continued a trend of less-than-stellar performances in the second game of back-to-back sets…

With coach Pat Riley vowing to decrease the team’s luxury-tax burden, the Heat continues to be  mentioned in potential deals as the Feb. 21 trade deadline nears. But a proposed deal with the Sonics — who would send forward Wally Szczerbiak and point guard Earl Watson to Miami for Ricky Davis, Jason Williams and Dorell Wright — doesn’t seem to have much traction. The deal would fail to relieve Miami of any salary this season, and also would limit its flexibility, with Szczerbiak owed $13 million next season and Watson owed roughly $13 million over the next two.
