The Chicago Bulls May Trade Andres Nocioni

The Grizzlies next face the Bulls on March 4 at the United Center. The Feb. 22 trade deadline will have passed, the Pau Gasol rumors will have been written and it’s anybody’s guess where Gasol and Andres Nocioni will be. ‘I know there are rumors, but I’m not interested,’ Nocioni said. ‘I don’t read the media.’ Gasol, too, is taking a don’t-worry-about-what-you-can’t-control approach. In comments to the Memphis Commercial Appeal, he admitted last season’s public trade demand and subsequent talks between the Grizzlies and Bulls stressed him out. ‘I think [management] wants me here,’ Gasol told the newspaper.

‘But this is a business, there’s a cold side to it and it’s nothing personal. If they feel like they can get a good deal, then they’ll do it.’Talks between the teams are expected to resume before the deadline. General manager John Paxson refused to part with Luol Deng last season, ending talks with then-Grizzlies counterpart Jerry West. Click here for more from the Chicago Tribune.
