Chicago Bulls and Ben Gordon Not Seeing Eye to Eye

Bulls guard Ben Gordon said Sunday he didn’t make a mistake by turning down the team’s preseason contract offer of five years and $50 million. It was the same extension offer Luol Deng declined. ‘One of those two guys told me he made a mistake,’ Bulls chairman Jerry Reinsdorf said in an interview with WGN-TV. ‘I don’t know if that had something to do with (the slow start).’

‘Obviously, he wasn’t talking about me,’ Gordon told the Sun-Times when asked about Reinsdorf’s remarks. Deng said his only regret was that the sides did not come to an agreement. He also wishes speculation on his contract would end. ‘We’re in the middle of the season,’ Deng said. ‘I just want to play.’ Click here for more from the Chicago Sun Times.
