No News From New Jersey Nets About Future of Jason Kidd

It was only last spring when Kobe Bryant made a very public request for a trade, just like Jason Kidd did last week. But Bryant is still a Laker, and since he asked out of L.A., his team has become one of the best in the Western Conference. Could the same scenario unfold with the Nets? It’s possible, but the Nets still have a long way to go, as they are barely clinging to the eighth and final playoff spot in the East. And regardless, Kidd could be dealt before the trade deadline on Feb. 21. But one thing is certain as the Nets prepare to take on Bryant and the Lakers Tuesday night at the Meadowlands, at least according to Lawrence Frank: the Nets aren’t playing simply to change Kidd’s mind.  Click here for more from the New York Daily News.
