League Questions Blockbuster Trade Involving Ben Wallace

The feeling among several league executives is new Seattle general manager Sam Presti, who got his current job after working  for the Spurs under current Cavs general manager Danny Ferry, is paying off debts by trying to help the Spurs and Cavs. For the Bulls, the deal is generally of marginal consequence other than for the acknowledgment that the Wallace signing, which seemed the right move at the time and was widely praised around the NBA, did not work.

Though the Bulls advanced to the second round of the playoffs last year, in part because of Wallace, the shocking collapse of the team this season left the highly unpopular Wallace a source of local ridicule as he stood in the way of the development of the team’s young players.Click here for more from the Chicago Tribune.
