Michael Redd Happy in Milwaukee?

Like most everyone else in the National Basketball Association, Milwaukee Bucks guard Michael Redd looked on as some high-profile players in the league changed residences in recent blockbuster trades.Redd is finishing his eighth season with the Bucks and realizes that the clock is ticking on his career. He’s tired of rebuilding and would like to chase a championship. Does he think there will ever come a time when he will follow in the footsteps of Jason Kidd, Shaquille O’Neal and Pau Gasol and approach owner Herb Kohl to express a desire to seek greener pastures?

‘I’ve told Sen. Kohl this . . . that I’m committed to Milwaukee,’ Redd said Monday at the team’s training center. ‘I have a six-year deal here and I’m committed to being here through the duration of my contract. ‘Who knows in the next two or three years what’s going to happen? They may trade me next year or never. I can’t control that. But I know I’m committed to serving my time here. Now, it’s just a matter of getting it done.’ Click here for more from the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.
