An Indianapolis Pacer Mixed Up in Murder?
A man wanted for murder in Memphis, Tenn., was arrested Wednesday night after leaving the home of Indiana Pacers forward Shawne Williams on the Northeastside, according to Indianapolis metropolitan police.Gary Ian Bohannon, 20, Memphis, Tenn., was arrested about 6 p.m. after he left Williams’ home in the 4700 block of River Ridge Drive, according to a written statement from Sgt. Paul Thompson, spokesman for the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department. Bohannon was driving a Dodge truck registered to Williams when he was arrested, the report said. Bohannon was sought by the U.S. Marshals Service, which asked Indianapolis police to assist with the arrest.
Bohannon was being held late Wednesday at the Marion County Arrestee Processing Center. No details about the Memphis homicide were immediately available. Police said Williams and Bohannon were together on Sept. 11, 2007, when Williams was stopped by police and arrested on the Near Northside. Williams was driving a Cadillac, and Bohannon, then using the name Roosevelt Rollins, was a passenger in the car. Click here for more from the Indianapolis Star.
