Dwayne Wade is Calling it a Season in Miami
Miami Heat guard Dwyane Wade underwent shock wave therapy on his left knee Tuesday, the team announced Wednesday night. Heat team doctor Harlan Selesnick performed the 20-minute procedure. Wade’s physical activity will be limited for the next month to swimming and riding a stationary bike.Wade’s season ended Monday, when the team announced he would have the OssaTron treatment, a non-surgical procedure, to help relieve tendinitis in his surgically repaired knee.He experienced soreness through much of the season, while continuing to rehabilitate from knee surgery May 15, 2007.Wade played in 51 games, averaging a team-high 24.5 points, 6.9 assists and 4.2 rebounds in 38.3 minutes a game.
