Kobe Bryant: The Technicals Pi**ed me off

“The technicals (vs. Charlotte) kind of (ticked) me off,” Bryant said. “I needed a game to blow off some steam.”

Said Jackson: “We had a discussion (Saturday) about all the things. He has seen it himself in such a way this year and played such great basketball. He has been such a team leader that I just said, ‘You’re going to destroy the relationship you’ve built with the players this year.’ And he said, ‘It’s not going to affect what we do. I just had to get out and vent what was irritating me about the game and our game.’”

Bryant was moved to address the team Sunday morning with a reminder that no one, himself included, should be panicking. The gist of his statements, he said, was: “Let’s go back to playing the way we can.” [OC Register]
