Isiah Thomas Wants to Stay in New York Regardless
Thomas, who was stripped of his team president duties earlier in the day with the hiring of longtime Indiana Pacers executive Donnie Walsh, made it clear Wednesday that he doesn’t want to go anywhere and still has New York on his mind. He was steadfast in saying he wants to be involved in some capacity and will sell himself and his philosophies to Walsh.
"If that’s necessary," Thomas said Wednesday night before the Knicks’ 130-114 loss to the Memphis Grizzlies at FedEx Forum. "I think with any new boss, you have to sell your program and there will be some things that hopefully he’ll like and I’m sure there will be some things that he wants to change." [Newsday.com]
