Portland Trailblazers May Be Making Moves this Summer

Heading into this summer, Portland will have two roster spots available after Darius Miles was waived recently and Von Wafer’s expiring contract won’t likely be renewed. Chances are Fernandez will secure one of those positions on the roster (once he does arrive), with one of Portland’s four draft selections in June perhaps taking the other slot (unless they are all moved).

"I won’t get into that," McMillan said when asked about the Blazers possibly making moves this summer. "But there are a number of options we can go to. We’re going to have a draft pick, a pretty good pick (13 overall), and we’ve got some second round picks (33, 34 and 54) so Kevin will get into that pretty soon and we’ll start talking about that.

"With us, and Kevin, we will always look at ways to improve the team. And if there are ways or opportunities to, then we’re going to look at it and see if it makes sense for us. And that’s what you’ve got to do." [HOOPSWORLD]
