Julius Hodge Up to 220 Pounds, Training with Nets
Hodge, who played high school ball at St. Raymond’s in the Bronx before starring at North Carolina State, started working out at the Nets’ practice facility in the spring after general manager Kiki Vandeweghe – who drafted him in Denver – extended an invitation upon seeing Hodge work out in Manhattan. Hodge played for the Nets’ summer league teams and has been invited to training camp, which opens a week from Saturday.
"Right now, I haven’t felt better at any point in my life in terms of getting ready for a basketball season," said Hodge, who is up to his desired playing weight of 220 pounds. "I am more than 100% ready."
