Monta Ellis to Appeal Suspension?
The agent for suspended Golden State Warriors guard Monta Ellis hinted Sunday night that his client will appeal a 30-game suspension that could cost him $3 million.
"We’ve previously evaluated Monta’s options, and now that the team has taken a definitive position we will move aggressively in protecting Monta’s rights," agent Jeff Fried said.
The NBA Players Association could not be reached for comment.
Ellis, 22, violated his contract for riding a moped, then admittedly lied about how he tore a ligament in his left ankle in an August crash weeks after he signed a six-year, $66 million contract.
