It must be a little worrying for Rockets fans that, at this late stage in the offseason, Tracy McGrady doesn’t sound particularly confident about being healthy to start the year. McGrady has played a grand total of twelve minutes for Houston during the preseason, all in the first quarter of their
“What’s most important is to be healthy toward the end of the season,” McGrady said after Saturday’s workout. “If I’m not ready to go in the first couple of games, then that’s just the way it is. It’s been nearly six months since T-Mac’s had his left knee and left shoulder surgically repaired, and still the reports coming from training camp seem to suggest that he’s not in great shape.
