Kobe Bryant to Forego MRI
Is this more bravado from Kobe Bryant or is the injury so minor that it doesn’t warrant attention? Either way, he won’t be undergoing an MRI on the hyperextended knee he suffered last night.
"We’ll see how it feels [Wednesday]. It’s sore," Bryant said in a brief interview with the Los Angeles Times before ducking into a dark sports utility vehicle that was waiting in the Sports Arena loading dock.
On Wednesday, the Lakers said they had no plans to have Bryant undergo an MRI exam. He is listed as day to day. He lifted weights, but did not practice.
"I didn’t even ask him about the injury," coach Phil Jackson said Tuesday. "The trainer said he hyperextended his knee somewhat. We’ll see what it’s like [Wednesday], then go from there." – ESPN
