LeBron James Joins Jay-Z for Obama Rally
Cavaliers star LeBron James shared the stage at The Q with recording artist Jay-Z Wednesday, but the real star of the night was Democratic presidential nominee Sen. Barack Obama.
"Nov. 4 is the most important day of our lives," James said. "Everybody in here, get your family out there and vote. You know who I’m voting for, I’m voting for Obama."
The crowd, which filled the 20,500-seat arena as well as seats on the court, roared with cheers and whistles when Obama’s image flashed on three screens at the start of his nationally televised commercial at 8 p.m. The capacity crowd applauded as Obama spoke about cutting taxes and helping homeowners by freezing foreclosures.
