Monta Ellis to Have Screws Removed from Ankle in Two Weeks
Monta Ellis is scheduled to have the screws in his surgically repaired ankle removed Wednesday and should begin basketball-related activity in two weeks, according to the Warriors and Ellis’ agent.
The updated timeframe isn’t a surprise to Ellis’ teammates, who have been around the injured/suspended guard for the last month as he rehabilitates in San Ramon.
"I’ve seen him moving like there’s nothing wrong with him," Stephen Jackson said. "He’s walking around without his crutches or anything, so hopefully, he’ll heal fast.
"One thing we don’t want to do is come back (too soon) and have him out for the rest of the season. But I think at this point, he’s way ahead of" schedule.
