Derrick Rose First Bulls Rookie Since MJ to Score 10+ in First 10
It took only 10 games for Derrick Rose to merit his first statistical link to Michael Jordan.
With, ahem, 23 points, Rose became the first Bulls rookie since Jordan in 1984 to score in double digits in all of his first 10 games, leading the Bulls to a 104-91 victory over the Pacers on Saturday night at the United Center.
"I’m not [comparable] to him," Rose said. "I’m not even near him right now. I’m too far away. For me to do that, it’s nice. But I’m worried about winning."
The Bulls concluded their five-game homestand with a 3-2 mark and improved to 5-5, just the third time since Jordan & Co. left town they will embark on their annual extended November trip with a record of .500 or above.
