Monta Ellis “80-85 Percent” Recovered
Monta Ellis has been cleared by team doctors to begin the "end stage" of his rehabilitation from ankle surgery – the final step before he resumes practicing with the Warriors.

Ellis’ green light came after completing a series of strength tests and medically-supervised drills. He took the court just before 7 p.m. Wednesday and worked out for 23 minutes, shooting and running under the watch of Dr. John Belzer.
Ellis never went full speed, but he moved briskly, jumped a bit, didn’t favor his injured left ankle, and eventually was shooting fallaway 20-foot jump shots over "defender" Rico Hines, an assistant coach.
Though the Warriors again did not offer a timetable for Ellis’ return to practice, coach Nelson said his injured guard is "80 to 85 percent (recovered), strengthwise."
