Dwyane Wade Would Welcome Stephon Marbury
"I played with Stephon before as a player," Wade said. "He’s a guy who still has it and can especially help a team like Boston, especially a team like us as well."
Marbury has said Boston and Miami are two teams he can play for if let out of his Knicks’ contract. Marbury specifically has told The Post that Boston had given him a commitment it would sign him. It is unknown if Marbury has accepted their offer.
Wade played with Marbury on the U.S. Olympic Team that sputtered to a bronze four years ago. Knicks president Donnie Walsh is set to hold Marbury hostage until at least after the Feb. 19 trade deadline.
