Robin Lopez Shatters Glass Door after Practice

Word from Phoenix is that losing a three-on-three game in practice made Robin Lopez mad enough that he took his temper out on a door.  After coming out the loser in a halfcourt game, Lopez stormed off the court and slammed the door so hard that the glass panel shattered.  Coach Alvin Gentry, who was conducting an interview at the time, immediately cut the press session short to address Lopez.  Gentry commented on the situation the next morning on his radio show:

His actions can’t be tolerated…"It’s something he’s going to have to get under wraps if he’s going to continue to improve and become a good player. – Alvin Gentry

It turns out that this isn’t the first time Robin’s temper has been an issue.  The seven-footer was pulled aside by assistant coach Dan Majerle last month when he blew his top in front of the media, and reporters claim that he often yells at himself after missed shots.

Does Robin Lopez have a temper issue?  Is this something the Phoenix Suns should deal with before it becomes a major problem?  Is a fine and the cost of replacing the glass door punishment enough here?  Let us know by dropping a comment in the box at the bottom of the page.
