Carmelo Anthony Injured & Likely To Miss All Star Game.
Carmelo Anthony falls victim to the injury bug. Question is, how bad is it?
HoopsVibe's Very Quick Call: Doubtful if New York has the firepower to win without their MVP candidate.
Doctors are calling it a "deep" right arm contusion and it will likely cause Melo to miss the All Star game and possibly more. He suffered the injury Wednesday night in the Knicks vs. Raptors game when DeMar DeRozan elbowed him in the arm.
It threw off Anthony's shooting for the game where he missed 19 of 24 shots and had a paltry 12 points on the game.
"It was kind of like a dead arm out there," he said. "Just a matter of trying to get through it, trying to get some feeling back into it."
If Anthony is out for any extended amount of time it would be difficult to see how the Knicks can survive without him.
"I'm not going to force it, definitely not going to force it," Anthony said. "As bad as I would want to play in the All-Star Game, participate, if I can't go, I can't go. Nothing I can do about that."
