Phoenix, AZ (Sports Network) - The Phoenix Suns have acquired center Jahidi White from the Washington Wizards in exchange for point guard Brevin Knight.

The 6-foot-9 White has averaged 6.4 points and 6.4 rebounds in five NBA seasons -- all with Washington.

"This deal gives us a physical, athletic presence that compliments the style and direction of our team," Suns president and general manager Bryan Colangelo said.

White, the 43rd overall pick in the 1998 draft, has appeared in just one game for the Wizards this season and failed to register a point in four minutes of action.

Knight was acquired by Phoenix in a September 30 trade that sent forward Bo Outlaw and center Jake Tsakalidis to Memphis. The Suns also received forward Robert Archibald and center Cezary Trybanski in the deal.

Knight is averaging 0.7 points and 1.3 assists in three games with the Suns this year. He has posted career averages of 7.5 points and 6.5 assists in 348 career games with Cleveland, Atlanta, Memphis and Phoenix.
