(Sports Network) - The Philadelphia 76ers suffered their first home loss of the season Wednesday, as they were outlasted by the New Orleans Hornets in overtime, 106-99, at the Wachovia Center.

Allen Iverson paced Philadelphia with 29 points. However, he scored just three after the third quarter.

Glenn Robinson netted 20 points and Kenny Thomas contributed 15 points and 16 rebounds for the 76ers, who have dropped three of their last four contests. Eric Snow, whose three-pointer tied the contest with 55 seconds remaining in regulation, collected 11 points and 12 assists for Philadelphia.

The Hornets scored the first eight points of the extra session to take control. Steve Smith scored inside, before Darrell Armstrong nailed a three- pointer to make it 94-89. New Orleans then got the ball back and Smith drained a three-point shot to give the Hornets a 97-89 advantage with 2:38 remaining in overtime.

After Iverson converted 1-of-2 free throws, Davis drilled a three-pointer to extend the lead to 100-90 with 1:31 left. Davis later sank four foul shots in the final 40 seconds to seal it.

The Sixers made just 4-of-17 three-point attempts, while the Hornets were 13- of-30 as a team from three-point range.

Philadelphia is off until Friday when it travels to Chicago to battle the Bulls at the United Center.
