=== Dallas Mavericks Team Report - November 6 ===
(Sports Network) - The Dallas Mavericks had a three-game winning streak snapped on Wednesday, falling to the Washington Wizards, 100-90, at MCI Center. Antawn Jamison led Dallas with 21 points and nine rebounds in the defeat. Antoine Walker chipped in 18 points and eight rebounds, as the Mavericks suffered their first loss since a season-opening setback to the Lakers. The Mavericks were forced to play most of the contest without the services of Steve Nash, as Dallas' starting point guard left the contest early in the first quarter with a strained shoulder and did not return. He is doubtful for tonight's contest against Toronto at Air Canada Centre. Dirk Nowitzki finished with just nine points on 1-of-9 shooting for Dallas, which shot just 38 percent from the floor and made only 2-of-11 three-point attempts. The Mavs swept the two-game season series between these teams last year and have won three straight against the Raptors overall. Dallas has claimed three of its last four games at Toronto to improve its all-time record there to 3-4. Dallas, which began a three-game road trip Wednesday, is 1-2 away from home this season. DAL |
