=== Phoenix Suns Team Report - November 16 ===

(Sports Network) - Despite a second half comeback, the Suns came up short, 100-91, to the Detroit Pistons at America West Arena on Saturday night.

Stephon Marbury and Shawn Marion each scored 19 points to lead the Suns, who have dropped three in a row.

Phoenix trailed by 10 at halftime, but rallied to take a one-point edge into the fourth quarter. The Suns opened the third with an 18-8 surge, which Amare Stoudemire capped with a jumper that gave the hosts a 60-58 lead with 5:43 left in the period.

The game remained close and was tied at 84-84 after the Suns' Jake Voskuhl made a pair of free throws with 3:23 to play. However, Detroit responded with an 11-4 run that put the game away.

Amare Stoudemire ended up with 17 points and 14 rebounds, while Joe Johnson netted 14 points before fouling out for the Suns, who shot 46 percent (37- of-80) from the field. Phoenix went just 3-of-17 from beyond the arc and 14- of-17 from the charity stripe.

After the game, the Suns announced that center Jahidi White, who finished with two points on 1-of-4 shooting in 19 minutes of action, will undergo surgery Monday on the middle joint of his left pinky finger.

The Suns return to the court on Tuesday night to take on the Chicago Bulls at America West. White is expected to miss that game and return on Thursday against Orlando.
