Los Angeles, CA (Sports Network) - The Cleveland Cavaliers try and put the brakes on their season-high seven-game losing streak tonight when they wrap up a brief two- game road trip in Los Angeles against the Clippers at the Staples Center. Last night LeBron James and the Cavs found themselves on the wrong end of a 115-103 decision to Carmelo Anthony and the Denver Nuggets in the second and final meeting of the season between the much-heralded rookies. James, the top pick in last year's NBA Draft, finished with 19 points, six boards and five assists for Cleveland, but was again overshadowed by the third-pick Anthony, who led all scorers with 26 points, as the Nuggets swept the season series. The loss dropped Cleveland to 4-14 on the season and the team remained winless in 11 road games this season. In fact the Cavs have dropped 32 straight road games dating back to last season with their last win away from home coming in Seattle back on January 12. Los Angeles, meanwhile, enters tonight's contest on a rare winning note after halting its season-long six-game losing streak on Monday against the defending champion San Antonio Spurs. Corey Maggette scored 24 points, while rookie Chris Kaman added a career- high 15 to go along with 12 rebounds in the Clippers 91-83 victory. Marko Jaric contributed 13 points for Los Angeles, which improved to 3-4 at home this season. Cleveland defeated the Clippers earlier in the year and has won three straight in the series and 12 of the last 16 matchups. The Cavs have also had success in LA, where they have claimed five of the last seven and seven of the last 10 on the Clips home-court. CLE LAC
