NBA extends collective bargaining agreement

New York, NY (Sports Network) - The National Basketball Association and the
NBA Players' Association announced that the league will exercise its option to
extend the collective bargaining agreement through the 2004-05 season.
A meeting was held Monday in New York between NBA owners and players. League commissioner David Stern and players' association executive director Billy Hunter also attended. The parties agreed to meet on a regular basis in order to reach a new, long- term agreement. |
