Timberwolves' Olowokandi activated from injured list

Feb 20th, 2004
Minneapolis, MN (Sports Network) - The Minnesota Timberwolves Friday activated center Michael Olowokandi from the injured list. Olowokandi has not played since undergoing right knee surgery in December.

The first overall pick in 1998, Olowokandi is averaging 6.4 points and 3.7 rebounds in 15 games this season.

The 7-foot-1 Olowokandi signed with the Timberwolves as a free agent in the offseason after spending five campaigns with the Los Angeles Clippers.

To make room on the roster, the club opted not to re-sign guard Darrick Martin. Martin's second 10-day contract expired following Thursday's win over Sacramento.
