Both teams have been able to win on their homecourts, as the Heat were victorious in Games 1 and 2 in front of their home crowd, while the Hornets won Games 3 and 4 at New Orleans Arena.

On Tuesday, Baron Davis scored 23 points and dished out 10 assists to lead the Hornets to a 96-85 victory over the Heat at New Orleans Arena, evening the series at 2-2.

Stacey Augmon came off the bench and posted 17 points and six rebounds for the Hornets, while Jamaal Magloire and David Wesley each scored 12 points. Rookie David West added 10 points and seven rebounds.

Lamar Odom carried the Heat with 25 points, eight rebounds and six assists, but it wasn't enough to give Miami the commanding lead in the series. Eddie Jones contributed 16 points and Dwyane Wade chipped in with 11 points and 10 assists in the losing effort.

Miami, which is appearing in the postseason for the first time since 2001, has never lost a playoff series after winning the first two games. In fact, the Heat have won the first two contests of playoff series only twice, as they won Games 1 and 2 in the first round of the postseason in 1997 against Orlando and 1999 against Detroit. The Heat beat the Magic 3-2 and swept the Pistons, 3-0.

The Heat are 3-4 all-time in Game 5s in the postseason, while the Hornets are 2-3 all-time in Game 5s.

The Hornets are 1-7 in their last eight playoff games on the road.

This is the second meeting between the two teams in the postseason. The Hornets, who made their home in Charlotte at the time, swept the Heat in three games in the 2001 first round.

Game 6 is scheduled for Sunday at New Orleans Arena.
