Clippers trade Ely and House to Bobcats

Los Angeles, CA (Sports Network) - The Los Angeles Clippers Wednesday traded forward Melvin Ely and guard Eddie House to the Charlotte Bobcats in exchange for a second-round draft pick in 2005 and a second-round selection in 2006.

Ely spent the first two years of his NBA career with the Clippers. He appeared in 42 contests in 2003-04 and averaged 3.7 points and 2.4 rebounds per outing.

House participated in 60 games last season for Los Angeles and averaged 6.8 points and 2.5 assists per contest. He played three seasons with the Miami Heat, before signing as a free agent with the Clippers on August 13, 2003.
