=== Denver Nuggets Team Report - November 5 ===

(Sports Network) - Earl Boykins drained a jump shot with six seconds to play in overtime to lift the Denver Nuggets to a 94-92 victory over the Minnesota Timberwolves on Thursday at the Pepsi Center.

Carmelo Anthony posted 19 points and 14 rebounds for the Nuggets, who bounced back from their season-opening loss to the Lakers on Tuesday. Boykins ended with 14 points and six assists while Andre Miller added 19 points in the win. Kenyon Martin contributed 18 points and 13 rebounds for Denver.

The teams were tied at 92-92 with a minute to go in the extra session.

Minnesota gained possession, but Latrell Sprewell was called for charging in the lane, which swung the arrow the other way. With 27 ticks to go, Denver pushed the ball up the floor and Boykins nailed a long shot from the left side for the lead.

A late second shot by Kevin Garnett fell short.

The Nuggets learned on Wednesday that shooting guard Voshon Lenard will have surgery on his Achilles' tendon and could miss the entire season. The injury occurred in the third quarter of the Nuggets' loss to LA.

Elsewhere on the injury front, forward Nene missed Thursday's game with a hamstring injury.

Denver, which was eliminated in five games by Minnesota in the opening round of last season's playoffs, will return to action on Saturday when they host Utah.
