Minneapolis, MN (Sports Network) - Minnesota Timberwolves' head coach Flip Saunders missed his team's 104-87 win over the Atlanta Hawks at the Target Center because of the flu.

Saunders, who is in his 10th season with the team, had never missed a game prior to tonight. Assistant Randy Whitman, a former head coach of the Cleveland Cavaliers, manned the sidelines in Saunders' absence.

Minnesota has now won four in a row and is 23-19 on the season.
