Brown, Hornets down Rockets

Houston, TX (Sports Network) - Devin Brown led a balanced scoring attack with
18 points as the New Orleans/Oklahoma City Hornets bested the Houston Rockets,
87-74, at the Toyota Center.
Chris Paul, Jannero Pargo and Bobby Jackson all scored 12 points for the Hornets who have won four of their last five games. Tyson Chandler added 11 points and 12 rebounds for New Orleans/Oklahoma City, which outrebounded Houston 49-36. Tracy McGrady deposited 18 for Houston, which tied season lows for points in a first quarter, 15 and first half, 30. Luther Head deposited 14 and Bonzi wells chipped in with 13 points for the Rockets who had a four-game winning streak snapped. Leading 40-37 early in the third quarter, The Hornets went on a 21-6 run, to take a 61-43 lead with 1:07 left in the session. The Rockets got no closer than 13 in the final quarter. The Hornets led 17-15 after the first quarter, highlighted by the ejections of Rafer Alston and Desmond Mason. The sluggish play continued in the second quarter as the Hornets took a 33-30 lead into the intermission.
