(Sports Network) - The Charlotte Bobcats will try and stop a four-game losing
streak this evening when they open a brief two-game homestand versus the
Chicago Bulls.
Charlotte, which is last in the Southeast standings, suffered a 104-83 loss to the Houston Rockets on Saturday at the Toyota Center. Emeka Okafor recorded 15 points and 12 rebounds for the Bobcats, who have dropped five of their last six. Raymond Felton scored 16 points, while Matt Carroll and Walter Herrmann added 12 apiece in the loss. The Bobcats are 10-15 as the host this season. Charlotte guard Derek Anderson (ankle) is questionable for Wednesday's game versus Chicago. Chicago, meanwhile, has lost four of its last five games, including Tuesday's 112-111 loss to the Toronto Raptors at the United Center. Luol Deng netted a game-best 30 points and Ben Gordon had 26 points, seven rebounds and six assists for Chicago, which fell to 4 1/2 games off the lead in the Central standings. The Bulls will now try to work on their 9-17 road record this season at Charlotte Bobcats Arena. Wednesday's matchup in North Carolina is the second of three meetings this season between the Bulls and Bobcats. Chicago won the first meeting, 115-76, on December 23 this season at the United Center. Chicago has won seven of the nine all-time meetings, including three of the four encounters at Charlotte.
