Toronto Raptors Don't Like the Green Uniforms

Mar 17th, 2009
Several members of the Raptors expressed their displeasure with their St. Patrick's uniforms on Sunday after a win over the Pacers.

"I've already registered my complaint," Anthony Parker said.

In recent years the NBA has had a number of teams wear special-edition green, St. Patrick's gear in games leading up to March 17.

"Wackness," said Chris Bosh, specifically of the warm-up shirts that featured a shamrock logo, eerily similar of the Celtics' trademark.

Toronto's Patrick O'Bryant, who is half-Irish and played for the Celtics earlier this season, defended the threads.

"Everybody's saying it's the Celtics logo. It's just a clover, a symbol of Ireland," said O'Bryant. "It would be the same if they had Prehistoric Day and everybody in the NBA had a dinosaur on their jerseys."
