Flagrant Foul’s 2009-2010 NBA Predictions

  By John Nguyen
10.20.2009 - Updated on 10.20.2009

I’ll keep moving along since the NBA season is about to start. It’s only customary to input my predictions as well. There is no need to place $5 in this pool. Writer Christopher Sells has a nice list of predictions he put together. I did this last season, too. I want to renew my membership so here is my bucket list. Enjoy!

First coach to be fired: Any coach working the Sacramento Kings team.
First coach to have a meltdown talking to himself: Scott Skiles
First rookie to rot on the bench: Brandon Jennings
Best team in the league record wise: Los Angeles Lakers
Best team to argue that they are really the best: Kevin Garnett and the Boston Celtics
Most overrated rookie: Stephen Curry
Defensive Player of the Year: Dwight Howard
Scoring champ: Kevin Durant
The team that the media paints constantly as the hot place to be for NBA superstars in 2010: New York Knicks
Rookie of the Year: Blake Griffin
Sixth man of the Year: Manu Ginobli
The first guy who demands to be traded: Stephen Jackson followed by anyone on the Los Angeles Clippers
The team to suffer a collapse after the All Star break: Chicago Bulls
Worst record teams: Sacramento Kings/Golden State Warriors/Charlotte Bobcats/Milwaukee Bucks
Surprise rookie: Dejuan Blair
MVP: LeBron James
East Champs: Boston
West Champs: LA Lakers
Champions: LA Lakers
Finals MVP : Kobe Bryant

i see the lakers getting 70 wins. lebron will beat out kobe statistically..but if la gets 70 and kobe still has a great season..he shouldnt’ be counted out on the mvp race..people are really quick to give it to Lebron. .
