Why Dirk Nowitzki should be starting over Amare.

I’m heated.

This isn’t right.

Yeah I said it. What?

Amare Stoudemire is not an All Star starter this season.

What they’re saying: He should be a starter because the game is in Phoenix.

What they really meant: I have no mind of my own. Amare is a starter in name only just like Allen Iverson. Since Mike D ‘Antoni isn’t around, I really haven’t watched any of Amare’s games all season because they’re just not as fast and fun anymore like the prostitute I had last night. When I’m on TV, I don’t write any of my thoughts. I read whatever the intern wrote on the teleprompter. I will defend Amare though because he’s Amare. That’s all. He’s beast, right? I’ll stick with that. I’m good. I don’t want to upset the Amare Defense Force and Phoenix fans in general who voted for him.

Kill all that noise.

Amare’s stat line: 21.3 points, 8 rebounds, 2.2 assists
Dirk’s stat line: 26 points, 8.5 rebounds, 2.5 assists.

Dirk trumps everything that Amare is averaging. Lately, Amare has been playing like solid dog feces. Old Man Shaq has been outplaying him at times, too. On January 19, 2009, Amare Stoudemire wished he was never born. He had the worst game of his life against the Boston Celtics: 0-7, 3 points, 1 rebound, 1 block in 30 minutes. The reason why they got Shaq was to finally have a true force in the middle and to alleviate the pressure off of STAT.

But he’s not there to make you lazy, man.

And STAT, man. C’mon my dude. Since you’re that tall and talented, man up and play some defense. The hell is wrong with you? You can’t use Shaq to hide. You’re only ranked 23 in double doubles. Oh what the? You should be in the top 10 for being so-called “talented.” I don’t give a damn if Shaq is there. Half of the time, Shaq is not even playing. No excuses.

Oh yeah. I didn’t forget what David Lee did to you.

Did I just see what I saw? Let’s see that again from another angle.

Oh no, he didn’t. My reaction after the play:

I can’t believe you let big man Justin Timberlake dunk on you like that. Then adding insult to injury, how you gonna let lil’ man Nate Robinson punk you like that?

First KG, now you? I can’t believe it. Amare Stoudemire is soft like that.

Be honest, Amare fans. He could have at least stared down at Nate Rob. Michael Jordan wouldn’t take that. Larry Bird would have done something. Charles Barkley would have shoved him out of the way like a little junior whopper. People will say, “Well obviously he didn’t want to fight because he would get thrown out of the game and get suspended.”

Kill all that.

This was about pride, too. Show some. How can he walk back to the bench and look at his teammates? If I was him, I couldn’t do it. Steve Nash didn’t even want to look at him. This incident, along with the horrible Boston game, is more than enough reasons to not be an All Star starter. Some fan or idiot sports reporter might say, “Well, think about it. The All Star game is in Phoenix. Makes sense that Amare is the starter.”

If that’s the case then the entire Phoenix Suns themselves should be the West All Star team.

Why not let the host city have a player be an All Star starter?

Stupid I swear.

If anything, STAT should be an All Star reserve.

J.Nyguen how did u expect to dirk to make the starting line up if he was 6th in votes for west forwards? behind Tim,Amare,b.bowen,R.artest,Carmelo. Obviuoslythe fans didnt want em and thats who matters when the all star game comes around its all about the fans not how many points or boards or assists a player averages but what the fans want and if they wanted to vote say stabury to the starting lineup then he would play and you and me both know his stats arent that good...... .

Sorry to burts every hater of kerr out there but this suns team is one trade away from a chip. rumors are stats gettin shipped now dont get me wrong i dig amares offensive game but i dig the idea of shaq gettin a couple more rings a whole lot more so with that being ship that one trick pick and roll pony to another for a different player who can score and actually play defensive. and dont come back at me with the whole shaq is about to retire bit because he still has 4 or 6 more years left and if you think thats bull then look at how many centers in the L that are getting paid loads of cash to just get 12 and 5 and im pretty sure shaq can do that with one arm tied behind his back .

This team is already in a slow downfall. Nash is nearing his tenure, Shaq and G Hill are nearing retirement, and Amare is not a franchise player because he doesn’t D up. If he played solid D then I would label him as such.

The Suns have a good team this season, but that’s it. They could be a lottery team next year. Amare will eventually leave if he hasn’t seen this already. So yeah, shop him around for what kind of offers they can get. I’m pretty sure they will not trade him by the deadline, but there’s a strong possibility that he could be gone this off season. Look at how the roster is built. Is there a future for Amare in Phoenix? I don’t see it, fellas. He’s a good second banana to have, but definitely not someone to build around.

I feel bad for Suns fans. Their GMs have made bad decisions. One example is that they gave up their 7th pick that turned out to be Luol Deng. Don’t feel bad though. John Paxson is worse. .

alright well it seems that no one actually follows the suns. john, how are you going to say stuff like this, not watch any of the suns games, and pull stats out of the air. the whole point of getting shaq was to bring an inside presence on the defensive end to compete with other big men. mike d’antoni saw it as a chance to bring pressure off of amare. now, with terry porter, shaq is the focal point of the offense. and its not fair to judge after a couple games because nobody is perfect. you can say amares stats are better because of the fact that in the beginning of the season amare was the focal point the offense until shaq was playing better, then they made shaq the number 1 option. even though im a suns fan, they should have gotten rid of nash and amare because they don’t fit in terrys system .

With all due respect to shaq, they need to get him out of phoenix. Shaq and Amare seem to not have any chemistry together .

Dirk has led the Mavs to the Finals and is still outplaying Amare this season. Where has Amare gone? Letting Old Man Shaq outplay him at some games.

Damn. .

u got no idea wat ur talking about.. suns got like 2 others that are scorers unlike dallas where its just dirk n terry or howard once in a while.. obviously hes gna score more, maybe amare shud get some more rebounds but he has shaq with him so amare can do his own thing, dont be hating, if it werer amare himself with steve nash hed be gettin like 35- 40 a night cuz hed be the only one who can score but that way they prolly wouldnt win .

kill all that......amare didnt get selected becuase hes plays for the suns he got picked becuase the fans voted him as a starter that how its works. and hey why did you even comper the stats of amare and dirk there practically the same the reason amares stats are lower is becuase hes playing with other players that need to score. maybe you should stop hatin on amare and start gettin your facts staight dirk has changed since him and his boys choked on the big one in 06..............damn .
