Towson, MD (Basketball News) - Alex Loughton tallied 14 points and grabbed 13 rebounds in leading the Old Dominion Monarchs to a 70-49 victory over the Towson Tigers in Colonial Athletic Association action from the Towson Center.
Isaiah Hunter and John Waller each turned in 14 points as well, as the Monarchs (10-6, 5-2 CAA) snapped their brief two-game losing streak. Arnaud Dahi chipped in 12 points on 5-of-7 shooting from the floor in the winning cause.
Derrick Goode paced the Tigers (6-11, 3-5) in defeat with 14 points on 7-of-9 total field goal attempts. Mike Green added 13 points, six assists and six rebounds as Towson dropped its second straight game.
Old Dominion used a 12-0 run to close out the first half, taking a 30-25 lead into the break.
In the second stanza, the Monarch held Towson to a dismal 28.6 percent shooting from the field, as they cruised to the 21-point victory.
Old Dominion dominated the Tigers on the boards, 51-33, including a 20-7 advantage on the offensive glass.
