CotD: Manu Ginobili Mix

For those of you not in my inner circle (by which I mean that you’re not either of my friends - and no, I’m not counting myself as one; I really am mad popular), it may be news to hear that I’m currently posted up in Buenos Aires. New York is a hell of a city, but the second that first flake of snow hit the sidewalk I decided I had to fly my behind somewhere the public wouldn’t be denied the sight of my bare legs as I expose them to the sun in the hopes of returning them to the colour they were when I was born. When you live in Britain for as long as I did, your pigment-producing cells have a habit of giving up.

Anyway, I digress from what was already a digression. I mention my location only because here in Argentina they seem to be particularly fond of a fellow named Manu Ginobili, and the revelation that I’m a basketball writer inevitably leads to a conversation about the boy from Bahía Blanca. So, in response to a few local requests to give the man his due in light of his recent scoring outbursts, this clip of the day is a compilation of the best plays from my former twin. (I had an uncanny resemblance to Manu in my late teen years, although the fact that I’m five inches shorter meant that only the slowest of groupies could confuse me for him at an NBA event.)
