(Basketball News) - Dallas has won four of six and 13 of its last 17 games, but fell 109-92 to the Memphis Grizzlies at The Pyramid Tuesday night.
The Mavericks have still won six of their last nine road tilts to secure a 10-16 mark.
Dirk Nowitzki had a team-high 24 points and added nine rebounds for the Mavericks, who lost for the second time in three games. Michael Finley delivered 15 points in the loss. Steve Nash notched 10 assists for Dallas in the defeat.
Antawn Jamison played in his 299th consecutive game.
Dallas pulled within 70-69 on a basket by Finley, but the Grizzlies capped the quarter with an 11-5 surge to pushed their edge to 81-74. The Mavs wouldn’t get any closer in the final stanza.
The Mavericks drained only 2-of-11 three-pointers and have hit only 34-of-120 from beyond the arc over the past seven contests.
Dallas has no time to dwell on its struggles, as it returns to the court against Cleveland this evening.
