Cash averaged 20.3 points, 6.0 rebounds, 5.3 assists and 2.0 steals per contest, as the defending champion Shock posted a perfect 3-0 record last week.
On June 9, Cash scored 12 of her 21 points in the second half, helping Detroit erase a 23-point deficit en route to a win over the Fever. It marked the biggest comeback in the history of the WNBA.
Other candidates for WNBA Player of the Week were Charlotte’s Tammy Sutton- Brown, Houston’s Sheryl Swoopes, Minnesota’s Katie Smith, Sacramento’s Tangela Smith, Seattle’s Kamila Vodichkova and Washington’s Chamique Holdsclaw.
