(Basketball News) - Ricky Davis converted 10-of-14 shots to finish with 25 points off the bench and lifted the Boston Celtics to a 102-83 win over the Seattle SuperSonics on Sunday at the FleetCenter.
Paul Pierce finished with 17 points, 10 rebounds and seven assists for the Celtics, who snapped a two-game losing streak and earned their sixth straight home victory in the series. Gary Payton contributed 12 points and seven assists.
Mark Blount and Jiri Welsch both registered 12 points for Boston in the victory. Raef LaFrentz notched 11 points and six boards for the Celtics, who improved to 3-3 at home this season. Welsh posted eight rebounds for Boston, which has won seven of the last nine games in the series against Seattle.
Davis has scored in double-digits in six of Boston’s eight games. He is averaging 16 points, 2.9 rebounds and 2.8 assists this season.
The Celtics are off until Tuesday when they visit the Indiana Pacers at Conseco Fieldhouse. Earlier this season, the Pacers defeated Boston, 100-94, at the FleetCenter.
