(Basketball News) - Paul Pierce scored 24 points with eight rebounds, leading seven Boston players in double figures as the Celtics rolled to a 117-101 victory over the Orlando Magic on Monday at TD Waterhouse Centre.
Marcus Banks collected 20 points for the Celtics, who snapped a four-game slide. Al Jefferson added 16 points, Raef LaFrentz scored 14, Ricky Davis had 13, Gary Payton posted 11 and Jiri Welsch chipped in 10 in the win.
The Celtics said rookie guard Delonte West will miss an indefinite amount of time with a broken right hand he suffered during a loss at Miami on Sunday.
Pierce has scored 20 or more points in nine of Boston’s 13 games this season. He leads the team in scoring (22.7 ppg) and rebounding (7.5 rpg).
Boston is off until Wednesday when it hosts All-Star Michael Redd and the Milwaukee Bucks. Last season, the Bucks won three of the four contests between the two squads.
