=== Detroit Pistons Team Report - January 25 ===

(Basketball News) - Detroit’s recent woes continued on Monday night, as it fell 86-83 to Minnesota at the Target Center.

Chauncey Billups compiled 22 points and nine rebounds for the Pistons, who have lost four in a row following a six-game win streak. Rasheed Wallace finished with 16 points and Ben Wallace had 11 along with 13 boards in defeat.

Detroit played without leading scorer Richard Hamilton, who sat out with a bruised right thigh, while starting forward Tayshaun Prince left after spraining an ankle three minutes into the game. Recently acquired point guard Carlos Arroyo posted 10 points and six assists.

The Pistons shot 37.2 percent from the field, including 2-of-12 (.167) from three-point range.

Detroit lost for the eighth straight time at the Target Center, where the Pistons haven’t won since 1997. The T-Wolves have won 12 of their last 15 meetings with Detroit.

The Pistons have fallen 1 1/2 games behind Cleveland for first place in the Central Division. Detroit sits fourth in the East, six contests back of top- seeded Miami.

Detroit will try to stop the bleeding on Wednesday against Denver at the Palace. The Pistons also have contests against Indiana (Thursday) at Conseco and New York (Saturday) at home remaining this week.
