After an MRI displayed a significant sprain to his ulnar collateral ligament, Hawks team physician Michael Bernot recommended a second opinion be taken from an elbow specialist in order to deduce the best course of treatment.
Stoudamire has already missed the last two games, after suffering the injury in the third quarter of Sunday’s home game against Orlando.
The 6-foot-1, 179-pound guard appeared in 61 games with one start. He averaged 9.7 points, 1.9 rebounds and 1.2 assists in 20.3 minutes.
