Orlando, FL (Basketball News) - Tracy McGrady scored 27 points against his former team, leading Houston to a 108-99 victory over Orlando at the TD Waterhouse Centre. McGrady was Houston’s leading scorer, but he shot just 8- of-21 from the field in his first meeting with the Magic since they traded him to the Rockets for Steve Francis, Cuttino Mobley and center Kelvin Cato in June. Bob Sura had a solid all-around game, ending with 19 points, 11 rebounds and nine assists for the Rockets, who snapped a two-game slide. Yao Ming scored 20, while David Wesley finished with 18 points in the win. Francis paced Orlando with a game-high 28 points. Grant Hill continued his strong play with 21 points for the Magic, who had a two-game winning streak snapped.

Final Score: Dallas 99, LA Clippers 77

Dallas, TX (Basketball News) - Dirk Nowitzki scored 28 points and grabbed eight rebounds to lead the Dallas Mavericks past the Los Angeles Clippers, 99-77, at the AmericanAirlines Center. Jason Terry added 15 points for the Mavericks, who won their third straight game and eighth in 10 tries. Dallas was playing its first game without head coach Don Nelson, who had surgery on Thursday to repair an almost completely torn right rotator cuff. Elton Brand had 24 points and 14 rebounds, while Bobby Simmons contributed 16 points and 12 boards for Los Angeles, which dropped its fourth consecutive game and fell to just 2-6 over its last eight games.

Final Score: Sacramento 123, Cleveland 96

Sacramento, CA (Basketball News) - Chris Webber poured in a game-high 27 points and grabbed 13 rebounds, Mike Bibby recorded a triple-double, and Sacramento routed Cleveland, 123-96, at Arco Arena. Bibby finished the game with 17 points, 10 rebounds and 11 assists for his second career triple-double. Peja Stojakovic finished with 19 points and Cuttino Mobley scored 18 in the win. Sacramento has won six straight and seven of its last eight. LeBron James, who recorded his first-career triple-double on Wednesday night, led Cleveland with 18 points. Zydrunas Ilgauskas scored 16 and pulled down 11 boards for the Cavaliers, who fell to 2-3 on their current west coast swing.
