Philadelphia, PA (Basketball News) - Allen Iverson scored a career-high 60 points as the Philadelphia 76ers defeated the Orlando Magic, 112-99, in a game that wasn’t as close as the score indicated at the Wachovia Center. Iverson went 17-of-36 from the field and set career-highs in free throws made and taken, going 24-of-27 from the charity stripe for Philadelphia, which has won two straight and four of six overall. Iverson has now scored 50 or more points three times this season and nine times in his career. His previous career-high was 58 points scored against Houston on January 15, 2002. Corliss Williamson had a double-double with 18 points and 10 rebounds for the Sixers. Leading Orlando, which has lost four of five, was Steve Francis, who had 16 points in the first half before finishing with 32.

Auburn Hills, MI (Basketball News) - Chauncey Billups scored 21 points on 7- of-9 shooting and Richard Hamilton added 20 along with eight assists as surging Detroit rolled to a 107-86 victory over Washington at the Palace. Tayshaun Prince recorded 16 points and seven assists for the Pistons, who racked up a season-best 33 helpers as a team and dominated on both ends of the floor to earn their seventh win in eight games. Rasheed Wallace and Ben Wallace finished with 14 and 13 points, respectively, as Detroit continued its recent mastery of the Wizards. Gilbert Arenas scored 16 of his team-best 24 points in the first half for the Wizards, who had a four-game win streak snapped and fell to Detroit for the ninth consecutive time.

Final Score: Milwaukee 113, Atlanta 83

Milwaukee, WI (Basketball News) - Desmond Mason scored 23 points as Milwaukee cruised to a 113-83 victory over Atlanta at the Bradley Center. Mike James added 18 points and six assists for the Bucks, who played without leading scorer Michael Redd but failed to miss a beat against one of the NBA’s worst road teams. Milwaukee held a deciding 58-35 halftime lead en route to its third straight win and fifth triumph in six outings. Antoine Walker compiled 21 points and 10 rebounds for the Hawks, who have dropped five of six and fell to a dismal 2-21 on the road.
